Shimmer & IOTA Bridges
This article provides a step-by-step guide for bridging your assets to be used aboard the Tangleship. 🛸
IOTAMPC Bridge​
The IOTAMPC is an audited and community-driven bridge within the Shimmer & IOTA Ecosystem. Operated by community-elected validators, the platform maintains decentralization to uphold robust security standards.
Before going through the full guide below, let's take a moment to familiarize ourselves with the bridge process:
To bridge your assets, follow these steps:
Step 1: Navigate to the Interdimensional Bridge interface.
Step 2: Connect your wallet to TangleSwap.
Step 3: Select your chains of interest for bridging assets.

Origin Chain, serving as the starting point for your asset transfer (e.g. Ethereum).

Destination Chainto which your assets will be transferred to (e.g. ShimmerEVM).

Step 4: Select the token you want to bridge.
Step 5: Enter the amount you wish to bridge (input). The system will automatically calculate bridge fees and display the amount (output) you'll receive on the
Destination Chain. The IOTAMPC validators charge a flat 0.2% for all tokens and chains.
Make sure you have sufficient funds to cover the Origin Chain transaction gas fees (ETH for Ethereum, SMR for Shimmer...). These fees are not included in the difference between input and output amounts.
Step 6: Click on
Transferto initialize the bridging process.
Step 7:
Confirmthe transaction in your wallet.
Step 8: Wait until the transaction is confirmed. You can check this through the interface or in your wallet.
Step 9: Done! You have successfully bridged token to your
Destination Chain. You can now close the Transactions details window. If you want to review your transaction details on the network's explorer, please access your wallet and inspect your transaction manually.
